Young Leaders Initiative of the Americas (Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative-YLAI) and in support for entrepreneurs in Latin America and the Caribbean
This program represents an important step in the commitment of the US government to the promotion of a network of entrepreneurship in the Americas
Entrepreneurs are summoned!
The scholarship program Young Leaders Initiative of the Americas (Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative Fellows Professional Program– YLAI), sponsored by the United States Department of State, seeks to 250 young entrepreneurs from Latin America and the Caribbean to participate in a program of professional training in the United States during October and November 2016. the selected participants will have the opportunity to enter the YLAI Network, a digital space with professional resources, where key regional links will be developed to promote positive changes in their communities .
The program consists of the following components:
1) Released in Texas and closing conference in Washington, DC, including speeches, workshops, sessions and teamwork;
2) Four weeks of counseling with a mentor in a company or NGO. Each participant will develop a strategic plan and participate in the daily operations of their host company;
3) Professional development activities, such as business training and interaction with experts in various fields;
4) YLAI continued support of the community before, during and after the program in the United States, through an active network of contacts, access to advice, and investment opportunities.
Entrepreneurs are sought with the following requirements:
1) Between 21 and 35 years old;
2) Resident of Mexico.
3) Eligible for J-1 visa;
4) At least 2 years experience as an entrepreneur, preferably with a start-up or a social initiative;
5) Good command of English (written and spoken)

Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative is a program of the United States Department of State. The program is a continuation and deepening of the success of the inaugural project YLAI YLAI March 2016.
